About Dr. Therese
Dr. Therese Mascardo, Psy.D., a California native and UC Berkeley grad, is not your typical psychologist—she's an author, a speaker, and a beacon of positivity who feels more like a friend.
She openly shares her journey as a Filipina-American, including navigating her own mental health challenges and coping with the loss of her brother to suicide in 2009.
From encouraging people to go to therapy to sharing her passion for food, travel, and hospitality, she's dedicated herself to a singular mission: helping people love their lives so they never want to leave them.
Whether collaborating with Vice, HuffPost, Women's Health, the American Psychological Association, or the National Alliance on Mental Health, teaching to Medcircle’s 1.5 million YouTube followers as a featured doctor, or connecting with her own community on social media, Dr. Therese radiates a commitment to living a healthy, free, and connected life.
Her infectious inspiration encourages everyone to not just exist but to embrace a life they truly adore, and serves as a reminder that self-care is a journey worth taking.
Excitingly, Dr. Therese has just unveiled her debut 'Love The Journey' Workbook & Journal in collaboration with Ban.do. This full-color workbook features purposeful prompts and exercises straight from the therapy room to help you appreciate the everyday moments better and build a life you don’t need a vacation from. She is based in Lisbon and Los Angeles.
